About me

My work method is based on understanding you as a whole person, without the need for a diagnosis, so that together we can gain perspective on the things that are happening in your life and better understand how to manage them. As a therapist, I try to be present, reflective and pedagogical and many people who have been in therapy with me have expressed a higher understanding of themselves and their emotions as a result of our work together.

A first session will usually start with you telling me about why you are thinking about going to therapy. I will ask you questions about yourself and your life in general so that we can get a better picture of what is happening in your life. This will also give us an idea of the things that we might be working on if you decide to initiate a therapeutic process with me.

Education and experience

I am half Swedish, half dutch and grew up in Spain. I got my degree in psychology from the University of Málaga and then did a four year residency at the General Hospital of Ciudad Real, ending with me being specialised in clinical psychology.

In 2013 I moved to Sweden and obtained my Swedish license to practice psychology. Since then I have been working in primary health care settings and now also in my own private practice. Most of my work experience is with adults in individual therapy sessions. Besides my education in clinical psychology I am also trained in gestalt therapy and art therapy. I speak fluent English, Swedish and Spanish.
